Apple Cinnamon Tartlets



Bite size apple pie. Served as dessert with vanilla ice-cream or hot beverage.



Cooking time: 25-30 minutes


Prep time: 15 minutes


Ingredients:

makes 12 tartlets

  • Puff pastry cut into squares
  • 4 Large apples cut into small strips
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon corn starch or flour
  • 1/2 cup water

Steps:

  1. Preheat over 350F/180C
  2. Mix all ingredients in a medium pot
  3. cook in medium heat until sauce thickens and remove from heat to cool down
  4. Take muffin tin and coat with butter each cups
  5. place puff pastry and form it to the shape of each cup. No need to be perfect.
  6. fill each cup 3/4 full with apple filling
  7. bake for 25-30 minutes until crust is golden brown
  8. remove from oven. They should pop out without effort.

serve warm. Top with whipped cream or with ice-cream.
